Anyone who has worked on a house knows the beginning can be slow and dirty. Walls get opened up, decades of wallpaper are revealed, things break and new challenges arise. But...despite how unexciting plumbing and electrical may be, it is also a time to be inspired.
At this point, everything is possible and my phone fills up with inspiration screenshots. Lighting, cabinet color, tile patterns, layouts and local deals. Over time, I can tease out the blurry vision of the future home I have in my mind, one design decision at a time.
For Grand, the first step has been to get this lovely lady back into shape. Structural work in the basement is complete and we are starting to update the bones for all those future pendant lights, paint colors and powder sinks.
